Creekside Retrievers is a small family kennel dedicated to raising healthy, happy Labrador Retrievers and English Cream Golden Retrievers. Our love affair with dogs began in our childhoods, and there has been very little time in our lives when several special canines did not occupy our hearts and home.
We are located on 26 rolling organically-maintained acres in New Salem, North Carolina, (30 minutes east of Charlotte) where fresh air, sunshine and exercise are abundant.

The dogs we use in our breeding program have been carefully chosen based on their wonderful temperament, intelligence, high level of trainability, sound physical structure, desire to retrieve and quality pedigree. In essence, we produce puppies that we ourselves would like to be part of our own family.
In the past, we have been involved in training Labs and Goldens and have trained numerous dogs (including our own) and titled many as well in the AKC Hunt Test arena. Since purchasing our creekside country acres in 2005, we transitioned out of the role of professional training and are now devoting our energies to our breeding program.
Our puppies are born and raised in a highly supervised and nurturing environment with exposure to many different stimuli (other animals, children, noises, and water) that ensure well-rounded and confident puppies.
They are very integrated into our daily lives and receive a lot of individualized care and attention. By seven weeks of age, the puppies have begun exposure to crate training and are spending periods of time separated from their littermates - adjusting to being individuals rather than part of the litter. We have found this to be very beneficial in easing the transition to their new homes.
Creekside Retriever puppies are eligible for limited registration with the American Kennel Club (AKC). Our puppies are placed as members of a family and/or hunting partners and are not to be used for breeding purposes. They are available to go home to their new families at 7-8 weeks of age.
Many of our puppies have been adopted by families in North Carolina, but we are pleased to have puppies in other parts of the country as well - Texas, Louisiana, California, Washington, Indiana, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Rhode Island, and New Jersey.
We have witnessed firsthand the great pleasure of sharing our lives with wonderful dogs, and our commitment at Creekside Retrievers is to raise and place well-rounded, genetically sound companions with other families as well – because we know that it isn’t just a puppy but that he/she truly will be your new best friend and a beloved addition to your home for years to come.
